The Health Education Trust (HET) is the UK registered charity, dedicated to initiating and supporting work with children and young adults to encourage the growth of healthy lifestyles. Operated by independent professionals with expertise in health education, education, public health nutrition and dietetics, we aim to deliver practical, accurate and realistic advice and solutions on topical food, health and education issues.

HET pioneered the whole school approach and has lead the way on healthier approaches to school vending over the last 5 years and have become the lead experts in the fast evolving field of 'healthy school vending'.

HET strives to provide common sense approaches to government policies, allowing consumers free access to easy, simple solutions to achieving a healthy diet. Our news, research updates and resources pages provide reliable, practical information and HET is internationally recognised and utilised as a credible resource.

HET operates the Independent National Database for Catering Excellence in Schools (INDICATES) to provide a framework of understanding and data on the current school meals system, with access to facts, figures and case study materials.

The Food for Life Partnership is a network of schools and communities across England committed to transforming food culture. Together we are revolutionising school meals, reconnecting children and young people with where their food comes from, and inspiring families to grow and cook food.
