Award ceremonies

It's no mean feat for a school to set up an organic school garden, run growing and cooking clubs, organise regular visits to local farms, serve freshly prepared school dinners with local, seasonal and organic ingredients - and include parents and the local community in it all! But that is exactly what Food for Life Partnership schools are doing across the country.

Our regional award ceremonies are a perfect opportunity to celebrate successes with schools and caterers who achieve the Food for Life Partnership Silver and Gold award. Organised in true Food for Life Partnership style with food culture at the centre of each event you could expect a farm walk, a session on the cooking bus or the opportunity to get your hands dirty with some growing activities. Young people in over 3600 schools are learning about real food in a hands-on way. I would urge the Government to do more to encourage all schools to follow their lead.

The Food for Life Partnership is a network of schools and communities across England committed to transforming food culture. Together we are revolutionising school meals, reconnecting children and young people with where their food comes from, and inspiring families to grow and cook food.
