Glebelands Market farm is a 3 acre site which includes a polytunnel and glasshouse. The farm grows organic crops throughout the year such as salads, leafy vegetables, squash, courgettes, cucumbers, purple sprouting broccoli, herbs and various beans. All the crops are for consumption within Greater Manchester. The farm is a Soil Association demonstration farm and successfully host school visits. Staff are CEVAS trained.
Activities include a tour of a working market garden, growing related activities, composting, habitats and pond dipping activities. Visits can be tailored to suit the needs of each visiting group in line with the national curriculum.
