Case study

On asking the children what they thought of flight trays, Chilton Primary School in Oxfordshire found that they didn’t like them because the trays were too big for the tables, the main course and dessert looked unappealing lumped together and water often spilled into the food. The school says phasing out flight trays has made a “tremendous difference” and urges other schools to do the same. Read the case study.

School Blog

St Botolph’s CE Primary School in Lincolnshire considered phasing out flight trays for over a year before replacing them with plates and bowls. Since making the jump, the children say they don’t feel like prisoners anymore and table manners are improving. Read the blog.
