Wishing you a fantastic festive season!

Wishing you a fantastic festive season!

19 December 2012 - As it's nearly the end of term and our wonderful schools and school caterers are just a few days away from a well earned holiday, we'd like to wish you all a very merry Christmas from all of us here at Food for Life Partnership!

We'd also like to extend a HUGE thank you to our schools, school cooks and caterers for all your hard work on Food for Life in 2012. Every day we find out more about the amazing things that you do and the difference that you are making to children around the country.

As 75 schools have achieved awards this year, with many more in the pipeline, we're planning holding regional award ceremonies around the country in March to celebrate your achievements. We'll be giving you more details, including the cut-off date for applications, online and via our 'e-news' early in the new year so please look out for them.

We'd also like to thank our brilliant 'bloggers' for the time and effort they put in to giving us updates on how FFLP is working in their schools. We always love to hear about your work and would encourage you all to share your stories with us. We're working on some plans to make sure that these blogs really are showcased as much as possible in the new year, as they are a source of both inspiration and motivation!

Washingborough AngelsOn that note, we'd like to finish up 2012 with this delightful photo from Washingborough Academy's very special Christmas school lunch. One of our Bronze schools in Lincolnshire, they served 200 Gold Catering Mark meals from The Farm Kitchen to a range of angels, elves and mini-santas! Teaching and catering staff and governors also joined in the fun. We'd love to hear any more festive food stories - simply just drop us an email fflp@foodforlife.org.uk

Food for Life HQ will be taking a break from 21st December but we'll be back in the office on the 2nd January, raring to go for the New Year.

Meantime, we wish you all a very happy and healthy festive season and look forward to continuing to work together in 2013.
