Home – What you can do
Cooking is a basic life skill which all young people deserve to be taught throughout their school life. Unless children learn to cook they cannot successfully make healthy eating choices and take full control of their food lives.
Visiting a farm, even just once, can be a life changing experience for a young person. Our aim is for all pupils to visit a farm during their time at school. Find out more and look for a link farm in your region.
Gardening and food growing can provide people of any age, ability and outlook with a tremendous sense of wellbeing and achievement. Food for Life Partnership schools accross England are setting up school gardens and eating the produce they grow in their school meals.
The Food for Life Partnership is a network of schools and communities across England committed to transforming food culture. Together we are revolutionising school meals, reconnecting children and young people with where their food comes from, and inspiring families to grow and cook food.
