Children's Food Festival
27 Jun 2009 | 28 June
Northmoor Trust, Hill Farm, Little Wittenham, Abingdon, Oxon OX14 4QZ
Come enjoy the only food festival dedicated to children and families!
"It's so wonderful to watch children and their families exploring new tastes at the Children's Food Festival. They reconnect with the seasons and discover how joyful and creative cooking can be. Come and join us!”
Raymond Blanc, OBE, Patron
Bring your family and come and get inspired to cook by some of the many celebrity chefs who will be at the festival including Raymond Blanc and Sophie Grigson.
Learn about the links between food, fun and well-being; learn about where your food comes from – and how to grow your own – and how to reduce food miles, food waste and to compost more.
Other celebrity guests include Annabel Karmel, the best-selling author on baby and children’s food and nutrition; Teenage Chef, Sam Stern and Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall, author of the Good Granny Cookbook.
The Food for Life Partnership will have a big presence at the festival through two of the partners, the Soil Association and Garden Organic, who will both have stands with fun activities for children. So do pop by and say ‘hi’!
At the Soil Association stand there will also be a competition, where children and their parents can win a place on one of Daylesford Organic’s Children’s Cookery Courses.
