Food education - Farm links
Have you ever asked a child where their food comes from? Their response is often “The supermarket!”
With 90% of us living in cities, we hardly have any chance of connecting with the farms where our food is produced.
Add to that the fact that lots of the food we eat is highly processed and rarely resembles the original ingredients, and we think you'll agree it is time to re-connect with where our food really comes from...a farm.
Find out more about how your school can link to a farm through the links on the left. And through the fantastic new Farm Links newsletter, which includes farm education case studies, ideas and links for classroom-based activities, farming information and an update on training days for teachers. All available by clicking here.
