Supplier Scheme

Launched in 2012, our supplier scheme helps caterers find suppliers who can help them achieve Food for Life Served Here.

Members of the Supplier Scheme receive training about how to support caterers through the award inspection process and renewal. Via the scheme we make FFLSH complaint products available to caterers and connect suppliers and caterers with one another.

Working with a Supplier scheme members is very beneficial to caterers as they can help with audit trails and inspections, they can supply compliant products, even source or develop new lines that meet the Food for Life Served Here standards. The Supplier Scheme can help connect caterers with local producers, as well as national suppliers, saving caterers money and time.

“We used the Food for Life Supplier directory when we applied for the Silver award. We now work closely with a number of Supplier Scheme members, and have found their understanding of Food for Life Served Here critical.”

Kevin Taylor, Edgehill University, Food for Life Served Here award holder.

Tractor  The Scheme also offers many benefits to food producers, processors and wholesalers including:

  • Listing on our online supplier directory,
  • Access to a suite of technical tools and marketing materials,
  • Free face to face Food for Life Served Here training that enables suppliers to add value to customers
