Upcoming Events

Food for Life Get Togethers don’t need to be big or difficult to organise. You can host any event that brings people together through food.

It could be a street party that gets the whole neighbourhood sharing a feast. It might be a group of school kids visiting their local care home. Or it might just be a few people sitting down together.

Food for Life Get Togethers are also linking into the three national events below. Having a Food for Life Get Together during one of these events might be useful if organising something alone seems daunting, because we can supply you with lots of great resources. You’ll also be part of something huge!

The Big Lunch  - 6-7 June 2020

The Big Lunch is run by  our partners, Eden Project Communities.

The Big Lunch is about millions of people getting together to share food, have fun and get to know each other better. It's a simple idea - that for a few glorious hours, cars stop, shyness stops and neighbours come together in the street to meet, greet, share, swap, sing, plan and laugh.
