Roast Dinner Day 2018

Taking place on Wednesday 14 November, Food for Life’s Roast Dinner Day is a national day for schools to open their doors to parents, grandparents and members of their local community to enjoy a delicious roast dinner together.

This year, Food for Life’s Roast Dinner Day falls under an even bigger celebration of school food – the Great Roast Dinner Celebration

Food for Life’s Roast Dinner Day celebrates good school food and encourages parents to make it their number one choice for their children. This year, schools that register will receive some great resources including bunting, posters, invitation templates and flyers, plus practical tips to increase meal take up, and all of the Food for Life Roast Dinner Day resources. Find out more here.

How can my school take part? Hosting a Roast Dinner Celebration is simple. All you need to do is invite parents in to your school to join pupils for lunch – so they can see for themselves how healthy and tasty your school food is.

Visit the Great Roast Dinner Celebration website to register your school. Just select Food for Life’s Roast Dinner Day from the list, plus any other events you’d like to take part in. If you’d only like to celebrate Food for Life’s Roast Dinner Day – that’s fine too.
