In over 19 years working for Soil Association. Caron has supported caterers to achieve Food for Life Served Here and Green Kitchen Standard. She is based in the North of England but leads the team nationally to develop both certifications and client experience alongside working to expand our portfolio of public health commission, place-based setting and consultancy work. With a background in Catering, working previously as a chef in various workplace restaurants before joining Soil Association Caron has a wealth of on the ground experience to bring when working with clients.

With over 20 years working for the Soil Association, Hannah supports caterers to source and serve food that is better for climate, nature and health. Helping them to achieve the Soil Association’s sustainable catering certifications: Food for Life Served Here and Green Kitchen Standard. Hannah is based in the Southwest and leads on our work with leisure settings and manages our national caterer accounts. Helping to ensure our clients get the best value from their achievements.

With an extensive background in catering and food business development Sophie knows the industry inside out, this means she is brilliant support to caterers when helping them to achieve Food for Life Served Here and Green Kitchen Standard. Taking a lead on education settings Sophie works with school and university caterers to ensure they get the most out of their sustainable catering award. Sophie is currently on Maternity leave, spending some time with her new baby boy and 3 year old daughter.

Rose spent over 15 years working in the hospitality industry before moving to children’s catering. From this she has gained widespread knowledge of the sector using this to support our caterers with Food for Life Served Here and Green Kitchen Standard. She started at the Soil Association in 2021, first in Organic Certification then joining Food for Life Served Here in 2022. Rose is based in the southeast and leads on Early Years settings.

Gay works with local authorities and multi academy trusts to bring eating, growing, and cooking good food to every child. With a background in nutrition and working with local food markets in Bristol, Gay is a passionate believer that everyone should have access to healthy and sustainable food wherever and whoever they are, and has been on a mission to achieve this with Food for Life since 2018!

Deb has worked for the Soil Association for 7 years, initially on the Food for Life schools award in Leicestershire then leading on the 2-year European funded project Cool Food Pro, working with UK and French partners to develop an innovative carbon calculator for the catering industry to demonstrate their environmental savings. Deb is now extending the UK network of caterers using Cool Food Pro. As well as supporting them to move to more sustainable practices, she also works with school caterers in the Midlands on their Food for Life accreditations.

Tayler is the Development & Delivery Officer at Food for Life, working 4 days a week she manages our monthly Sustainable Catering newsletter and our events. She provides day to day & project support to the Business Development team and delivers pre-verification & application support to caterers for Served Here and Green Kitchen Standard.

Sarah coordinates Soil Association Scotland’s Food for Life Scotland programme. The Food for Life Scotland team help local authorities across Scotland to get fresh, Scottish, sustainable food onto school dinner plates, by supporting them to achieve the Food for Life Served Here award for their school meals service.

Lottie is our Senior Awards Officer, working on coordinating the delivery and verification of the Served Here certification with the Business Development Team. Her background is varied having moved from the Organic certification side to Food for Life. Her favourite part of the job is seeing the changes that caterers make, and knowing the wider effect that will have, especially around higher welfare meat. Looking at different menus all day is also a highlight, lots of inspiration for cooking!

Amelia Peace

Amelia Peace has recently joined the Food for Life Served Here team as an Awards Officer. She studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine and is a registered Nutritional Therapist. Her previous role was in certification on the Health & Beauty team and is delighted to have made the move to Food for Life to help transform our food culture.

Paula is our Awards Officer and has recently joined the team, having moved from her previous role as Client Services coordinator in Certification. She has worked in many food-adjacent industries and is excited to now be a part of a team helping more people access healthy and sustainable food!
