Schools with a Food for Life Schools Award have completed the Bronze, Silver or Gold level Food for Life schools awards framework. This means they have committed to:

• providing good quality school food
• educating children about food, cooking and growing
• making a good food culture a priority with school leaders
• working with the local community and parents

This contributes to the wellbeing of pupils and parents. It also supports the national curriculum and Ofsted requirements.

We’ll be by your side to help you embed a ‘whole school approach’ to food. This means that growing, 
cooking, eating and learning about good food is a part of your school culture. Our programme supports schools to:

• improve the health, wellbeing and motivation of pupils and staff
• encourage pupils to take part in enrichment activities
• enable children to feel empowered to make their own choices to improve wellbeing
• connect with parents and your local community
