Throughout 2025, engagement with our sustainable certifications, consultancy, and training has continued to grow, and we are grateful to all the caterers we work with. Collectively, Food for Life Served Here daily meal numbers have increased by 50%, meaning more than 1.6 million certified meals are now served every day across the UK. This is a huge testament to your hard work and dedication to meeting our standards, even during challenging times.
The diversity of the sectors we work in, from schools and workplaces to hospitals, visitor attractions, and everything in-between, demonstrates that the standards you meet are recognised as a unique strength by policymakers and peers across the food sector and beyond. Your certification enables you to demonstrate the quality of your catering service and provides independent verification that it meets our high standards.
Alongside this growth and impact, our own costs have also increased. To ensure we can continue to support caterers to achieve the highest possible sustainable standards, and to maintain the level of service you expect from us, we will be increasing our fees by 10%, with effect from 1 April 2026.
This is only the second time we have increased our fees in the past five years. As a not-for-profit charity, we are committed to keeping our standards high and continuing to invest in our expert team and resources for the benefit of our work together.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of your fees or certification, please contact your Development Manager, who will be happy to help.
