Within Food for Life one of the core aspects of the support we offer the settings we work with is our vast library of resources and activities created by our training experts.
Our resources cover everything from cooking, growing and nutrition, through to farming, climate and nature. The full library of resources can be accessed by enrolling in either our Schools or Early Years award programmes.
On this page you can find a seasonal taster our Food for Life resources and some recipes and activities that you can try.
Continuing our longstanding relationship with Jamie Oliver, we've partnered with the team at Jamie Oliver's Kitchen Garden Project to bring even more ideas and inspiration to the nation.
We love soil! It is a combination of minerals, organic matter, air, water and living organisms. It connects people, plants and animals. For a sustainable planet, we need healthy soil. Find out more about this amazing substance right under our feet using these classroom resources.
BeanMeals was a large collaborative project aiming to get UK grown beans into school meals. Food for Life worked with schools as part of the project encouraging pupils and school cooks to see the star potential of beans as a healthy and sustainable food. These resources were created as part of the project and can be used to learn all about beans through growing, cooking and classroom activities.
The BeanMeals project was grant funded by UKRI (UK Research and Innovation) and led by Oxford University. You can find out more about the project here: https://www.eci.ox.ac.uk/beanmeals
